What is gold-filled vs. gold-plating? 14kt Gold-Filled is a regulated industry standard. Based on USA standards it contains 1/20th or 5% of pure gold. It is a strictly regulated process where gold is heated and high-pressure bonded using multiple layers of gold to a base metal, usually jeweler's brass. 14kt Gold-Filled is highly durable and is the closest to solid gold.
Argentium Silver: Argentium silver 935 is a modern sterling silver alloy, containing 93.5% silver. The traditional sterling alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) is modified by removing some of the copper and adding the metalloid germanium. It’s nickel free (hypoallergenic).
