For the past week my home has been hit with the nasty flu/cold. I spent most of last week, hacking with the most annoying cough. From experience ginger and mint have always been my “go to” for a cold. It’s actually not a bad combo to have as tea on a regular basis as well. It also works wonders for upset stomach. Here’s my go to recipe tea specialty.
2 cups of water
1 inch long piece of ginger root
1 green tea bag
Few sprigs of mint
1 tablespoon of honey
1. Bring ginger root and water to a boil and pour into a tea pot or cup to seep with mint and green tea for at least 5 minutes.
2. Pour tea into a cup and sweeten with honey.
